Dr. Seuss

Grind the Grit was born from a personal turning point. Ashley recognized that lasting change begins within—by taking responsibility for our mindset, our choices, and how we respond to life’s challenges. Determined to become the best version of herself, she committed to doing the inner work: getting honest, building discipline, and intentionally reshaping the parts of her character that no longer aligned with her future.
That process—grinding the grit—transformed her life. As clarity and self-awareness grew, so did her effectiveness as a mother, communicator, leader, and contributor to her community. What once caused confusion, emotional strain, and discouragement became fuel for growth and purpose.
Grind the Grit was created to help others experience that same transformation. With a Master’s degree in Adult Education, Ashley designs programs that adapt to how people actually learn. Courses are intentionally structured to support all learning styles—visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writing—so no learner is left behind.
Through education, reflection, and practical application, Grind the Grit empowers individuals to grow with intention, resilience, and confidence.

Grind the GRIT was created from a genuine concern for the growing need for social-emotional learning and character development. At its core, GTG believes that positive change begins with understanding ourselves and improving how we relate to others. When we strengthen these foundations, everyone connected to us benefits.
Guided by the timeless philosophy of Confucius—“Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself”—Grind the GRIT emphasizes integrity, self-awareness, and intentional living. Many of us have felt the impact of environments lacking moral clarity; GTG exists to help restore balance through education, reflection, and practical application.
Through thoughtful questions, leadership guidance, and real-world case studies, participants learn how to shift patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving—creating meaningful, lasting change. Clients gain direct access to the founder and trusted resources, ensuring personalized support every step of the way.

Coaching provides children and families with practical tools to navigate conflict, stress, and anger in healthy, mature ways—often making family life more peaceful and connected. Through coaching, children learn to better understand their emotions, express themselves constructively, and develop skills for emotional regulation. Parents and guardians also gain insight into how their own communication, boundaries, and behaviors can foster stronger, more trusting relationships with their children.
As a mother of two teenage boys, I understand firsthand that there is no single “right” way to raise a child. What I can offer is real-life experience, empathy, and guidance rooted in growth and connection. The past 16 years have been full of learning, challenges, and perspective. While the teenage years are often described as the hardest, my journey has been unique—I navigate a non-custodial parenting relationship with limited visitation. Through this experience, I have learned the power of intentional communication, consistency, and leading by example.
Today, I am deeply grateful for the strong relationship my sons and I have built together. Our bond is the result of mutual effort, respect, and resilience.
If you know a teen who could benefit from coaching—or a parent or guardian seeking support—I would be honored to help. Please feel free to share my information.
